The Bureau released a severe thunderstorm warning this morning, noting heavy rainfall could cause flash floods in towns including Bendigo, Castlemaine and Daylesford. The warning has since been downgraded.
About 23mm of rain has fallen in Bendigo since 9am yesterday and 46mm in Maryborough.
Meanwhile, the CFA were called to four power poles coming down in strong winds and storm conditions overnight.
Crews attended scenes in Epsom, Elmore and Kyneton.
Maldon also had power outages as a result of storms, with 10 households still without power, Powercor said.
In Bendigo only one customer is still without power in Flora Hill.
Please note: In storm conditions the State Emergency Service warns people to stay away from creeks and dams, to avoid driving through flooded areas, and to avoid using phones during the storm. People are also warned not to shelter under trees and to stay indoors if possible.
