Bendigo will have two teams in the Victorian Country Cup 8-Ball Championships’ top tier next year after its division two side was crowned champions on Sunday.

The Bendigo Diggerz trailed Dennington 3-1 in the best of seven frames final at the All Seasons in Bendigo, but fought back to capture a thrilling 4-3 win.
Three Diggerz players – Mark Howie, Matt Ingram and Brett Wee Hee – earned All-Star selection for winning at least six of their nine games across the weekend.
The Diggerz will join the Bendigo Dragons in the top division in 2013.
The Dragons, who won the second division last year, made it through to the semi-finals of division one on Sunday, but lost to Geelong Blue.
Geelong went on to defeat Ballarat 4-2 in the decider.
In division three, Central Highlanders were too good for Surf Coast Four, winning 4-2.
Stawell won the women’s division following a 4-2 triumph against the Happy Highlanders.
The three-day event attracted almost 300 players to Bendigo after being played in Horsham last year.
