ABOUT 40 traders will set up stalls in Hargreaves Mall tonight for the Twilight Makers Market.
Local stall holders will showcase a range of art and crafts, children’s toys and clothes, beauty items, jewellery and clever gift ideas.
This is the second twilight market being held in the mall, following the success of a first market held last year in the lead-up to Christmas.
City of Greater Bendigo manager of customer support Deb Thewlis said the market gave local designers and artists the opportunity to showcase their work. She said other downtown traders would also get into the market spirit and open shop doors until late.
Co-creators of children’s clothing label Talking Red, Georgia Taylor and Julia Feiss, said they were looking forward to the market.
Ms Taylor said the duo started the label in the middle of last year, after they discovered there was a lack of stylish boy’s baby clothes. “There was not many cool baby boy’s clothes so we decided to make some ourselves,” Ms Taylor said. “We use material we find at op shops, so all our products are one of a kind items.”
The market will run from 5pm until 8.30pm in Hargreaves Mall and Kim Ritchie will be performing live during the evening.
