The scene of a recent car crash in Golden Square
AN ELDERLY woman has had a lucky escape following a car crash in Golden Square.
A female driver crashed into the 70-year-old woman's carport at about 7.30pm, causing the structure to collapse.
SES crews are on the scene and are considering how to remove the car.
Witnesses said they heard a loud bang but said they didn't hear the car before the crash.
There were no tyre marks on the road or driveway.
It's believed no-one was injured in the incident.
A relative of the woman said the carport was part of the home's structure.
