A Bendigo police team is competing in the 48-hour 100km challenge through the Dandenong Ranges Park in April.
Sergeant Jenelle Kelly said she was hopeful the team would be able to raise a lot of money ahead of their endurance event.
“We’ve done it before, it’s always a good challenge getting to the finish line,” she said.
Bendigo CFA officer Mark Neville said it was a good chance to get together with other crews away from incident call-outs.
“It’s probably not often we get together but we usually like to support each other in charity fundraisers,” he said.
Sergeant Kelly said their hot dog lunch at the Bendigo police station would become a regular in the lead-up to the April 19–21 event.
