Herbert's sizzling round sets up Aussie win

Bendigo golfing sensation Lucas Herbert has led Australia to victory at the inaugural Ten Nations Cup amateur teams golf event in South Africa.

Herbert's final round six-under par 66 guided Australia to a one-shot victory over trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand.

Herbert, Brady Watt, Ryan Ruffels and Geoff Drakeford held their nerve on the final day at Kingswood Golf Estate to win the international team competition with a 38-under-par total of 826.

Herbert, 17, and his Australian team-mates now head to the South African Stroke Championship at Oubaai Golf from February 12 to 15.
