BENDIGO mayor Lisa Ruffell has announced her public open office dates for 2013.
Emphasising the need for council accessibility and community engagement Cr Ruffell named nine dates throughout 2013 when her office would be open for residents to make any issues they have known to her.
“If people have issues they want to discuss they are free to contact me at any time or they can come along to one of our open office days,” she said.
“I am absolutely committed to making council more accessible to the community.
“I am really keen to hear peoples’ views and want to bring the community on the journey with council during the next four years.”
Cr Ruffell declared an open door policy after being sworn in as Bendigo's mayor in November last year. She said about 17 people turned up at her first open office on November 27 last year.
The next open office will be on February 11 between 9am-1pm.
People wanting to make an appointment can call 5434 6102 while those without an appointment should see staff in the front foyer.

Tuesday, April 2;
Monday, May 6;
Tuesday, June 4;
Monday, July 1;
Monday, August 12;
Monday, September 2; and
Monday, October 14.
