UPDATE: Police have identified a body found in bushland this afternoon as a 29-year-old Bendigo man.
A police spokeswoman said the man’s death appeared non suspicious.
His body was discovered by a cyclist who was riding through the One Tree Hill regional park along Guys Hill Road about 4pm.
A full-scale search was sparked in the bushland at Strathfieldsaye and police tape blocked off a section of the park.
The body was identified by the Bendigo crime investigation unit tonight.
Police have been stationed at Guys Hill Road since just after 4pm.
A police spokeswoman said detectives were still trying to establish the circumstances of the incident.
It is unknown how long the man's body had been there.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
