GROOVIN’ the Moo has unveiled its line-up for this year’s festival.
British artists The Kooks and Example lead the international acts, with Tame Impala, The Temper Trap and Regurgitator the highlight of the Australian acts.
Canadian duo Tegan and Sara are returning after a successful tour in 2010 while up and coming artists Flume, Alpine, Last Dinosaurs and Hungry Kids of Hungary are also playing.
The line-up may not be as star studded as in the past when mega bands Silverchair, Vampire Weekend, The Wombats and Kaiser Chiefs played but some acts will prove popular with festival-goers.
More than 75,000 people are expected to attend the five shows on the regional tour. The Bendigo leg of the festival sold out in less than a week last year.
“After six months of planning, it’s always an exciting time when the GTM line-up is finally revealed,” promoter Stephen Halpin said.
“Again we’ve assembled a great bunch of exciting new acts and festival favourites.
“We’re very excited to be hosting They Might Be Giants’ first visit to Australia in a long while.”
More than 25 artists will take to the GTM stage in late April and early May.
The GTM tour arrives at the Prince of Wales Showground in Bendigo on Saturday, May 4. Tickets for the festival cost $99.90. Tickets for the Bendigo leg go on sale on Wednesday, February 6.
The Bendigo Advertiser has 1500 tickets to sell and will soon advise what date they will be available at our front office. For more information visit www.gtm.net.au
