Money was stolen from the till of Victoria Street bar Prudence early morning December 30.
Police believe a burglar jumped a back fence and broke into the bar through a window between 5 and 7am.
On January 7 police believe the same man struck again, with a thief using the same modus operandi to rob the bar.
This time police said a “large quantity” of cash was taken from the safe before the burglar left from the back door.
The man is described as Caucasian, 183cm tall and balding with short-cut hair. He was wearing knee-length shorts and a t-shirt.
Police have released CCTV footage of a man they believe could assist in their investigation.
