Mother glad Bendigo Hotties page was removed

A LOCAL mother says she is glad the Bendigo Hotties page was recently removed.

Jenna, who asked for her last name to be withheld, said it was "better for everyone" that the page and similar pages were removed.

"It's better for everyone that this isn't online anymore, that people are being judged on their looks in this way," she said.

"It's too small of a community."

Jenna contacted the Bendigo Advertiser soon after the page was created.

She said it was concerning that some people appeared to have their images posted without their consent.

"All it takes is the community to rally and it works," she said. "I just hope that no-one else goes ahead and does stupid stuff like this again.

"But they will.

"You can't stop everyone."

The Bendigo Advertiser was contacted by several people who reported images of underage girls had been posted on the page.

Several people had identified themselves as being underage in posts on the site, which attracted more than 3000 likes before closing.
