The Northern Rivers side missed five chances in the field as the South-East Country Sharks compiled 203 all out from its 50 overs at Frankston.
Northern Rivers was 3-106 after 30 overs, only to collapse to 8-113 before limping to 137 all out in the 42nd over.
Bendigo's Alex Pearson had the best bowling figures for Northern Rivers for the second day in a row with 3-37 from his eight overs. Strathdale-Maristians' Dylan Bailie picked-up 1-23 from his five overs, while Tom Chalkley took 2-28 from four overs.
Northern's Tyler Larkin top-scored with the bat with 54, but only received support from opening batman Riley Michel who made 20. The Northern Rivers team will play-off for one of the minor placings today.
