The 53-year-old man was trapped and suffered minor lacerations on his arm after the truck rolled on the corner of Olympic Parade and Station Street around 1.30pm. The driver of the car, a 22-year-old Long Gully man, was travelling with one passenger when he failed to give way, driving into the path of the oncoming truck.
The truck driver tried to avoid the car, swiping its side before tipping over.
Country Fire Authority, State Emergency Service, and police were called to the incident to free the man from the vehicle, who was taken to Bendigo Health for observations before being released yesterday afternoon.
Sergeant Geoff Annand said speed was not a factor in the crash.
“The speed zone was only 60. It wasn’t a high-speed collision, so no one was seriously injured,” he said.
