AN elderly woman has died and a man is in a serious condition at Bendigo Hosptial after a car crash at Elmore.
Police believe a truck travelling east on Runnymede School Road collided with a car travelling south on the Northern Highway around 10.20am.
The driver, a woman thought to be aged in her seventies, died at the scene.
Her male passenger was taken to Bendigo Hospital with serious injuries.
The truck driver was uninjured and is assisting police.

POLICE and paramedics are on the scene of a fatal car crash at Runnymede.
It's believed the incident involves a truck and two cars on Runnymede School Road and at least one person is deceased.
