BENDIGO for Homeless Youth may have achieved their 2012 fundraising target, but Bendigo has not seen the last of them yet.
Bendigo for Homeless Youth founder Luke Owens said he was going to meet with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank next week to work out how the charity can operate in the future.
“We’re going to see how to keep it going and keep it sustainable,” he said.
The group reached their target of $100,000 in 2012, which has been boosted by a $400,000 donation from the Sidney Myer Foundation.
The money will go towards a medium to long term housing project for Haven which will combine a range of support services and education and training.
