Faraday woman finalist in Rural Women of the Year award

A FARADAY woman has been nominated for the Victorian Rural Women of the Year award.

Wine, cattle and sheep producer Jo Clifford is up for the prestigious award against three other women from around to the state.

The mother of four children has experience and qualifications in industrial relations, marketing and event management and has also recently graduated as a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs.

Victorian Agriculture and Food Security minister Peter Walsh will announce the winner on February 7 at Parliament House in Melbourne.

The winner of the award takes home a $10,000 bursary to put towards leadership development, while the winner and the runner-up will be offered the opportunity to participate in the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ course in Canberra.

The Victorian winner will then join winners from other states and territories as finalists for the national award, which will be announced in Canberra in October.
