I am of a Christian faith and believe in Lent at Easter time – but do not connect hot cross buns with just Easter. 

They are a delectable yummy bun and should be made and eaten every day of the year, so we are then able to rejoice in the fact that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead to save us from our sins – every day of the year instead of just at Easter time.
