The Department of Sustainability and Environment has now listed a bushfire at Wedderburn as 'contained'.
The CFA had earlier issued a fire warning for the Butterick Lane area and was advising people smoke could be visible from nearby communties and roads.
The fire warning was valid for Wedderburn, Wedderburn Junction and Korong Vale residents.
The CFA website stated 13 fire appliances attended the incident.
Police units headed to Wedderburn to help with traffic control.
