The cultural celebrations will see hundreds of Scots parade through the View Street precinct to Rosalind Park where the festivities will begin.
Pipe bands and dancers will pit their skills against one another during the one-day event, with stalls featuring clan history and crafts also on offer.
Bendigo secured the event after an annual Melbourne gathering stopped.
Golden City Pipe Band president and event director Chris Earl said the event would feature something for everyone.
“We are bringing Scottish-based groups in Bendigo together for a day of celebration and fun that will attract bands, dancers and clans from across Victoria,” he said.
“Rosalind Park is the ideal location for our community festival that we expect will attract up to 2000 in its first year.
"Scots Day Out will be a day of free activities for locals and visitors right in the heart of Bendigo."
