Higgs achiveved a personal best in five of seven events as he scored 2969 points to be fifth overall in the under-15 boys heptathlon at Albert Park.
The titles drew big fields.
There were 102 in the under-9 boys, 86 in under-10 girls, and 87 in the under-12 boys.
Results for Bendigo Little Athletics Centre competitors at the Little Athletics Victoria state multi-event championships run at Melbourne’s Albert Park athletics complex:
Under-9 boys pentathlon – 100m, long jump, 80m hurdles, discus, 800m.
Kobi Hall 39th on 748 points.
Matthew Noden 40th on 710 points.
Under-10 girls pentathlon – 100m, long jump, 80m hurdles, shot put, 800m.
Emma Gilligan 22nd on 659 points.
Under-12 boys pentathlon – 100m, long jump, 80m hurdles, discus, 800m.
Cooper Saunders 9th on 1337 points.
Fraser Symons 15th on 1278 points.
Under-15 boys heptathlon – 100m, 100m hurdles, discus, javelin, high jump, long jump and 800m.
