The contribution of approximately 500,000 regional Victorians who volunteer cannot be overlooked, but it’s often the same people who repeatedly put up their hand to help out.
December 5 was International Volunteer Day and I encourage Bendigo residents to consider how they might be able to offer a helping hand in their community.
“Celebrate Volunteering” is the theme for this year’s event and there would be no better way to do that than getting actively involved in a worthy charity or cause.
