As it’s our first day we need to kick-off with the national anthem and there can’t be a better version than this one by Kylie and Jason at the 1986 NRL grand final (with guest vocals by Guy Pearce - what was he thinking? And I’m not only talking about his haircut).
Shane Warne has taken to Twitter to calm every down about a Test comeback.

Here's today's back page of the Sydney Morning Herald. Brad Walter spoke to Waratahs new signing Israel Folau about the reasons why his deal fell apart with the Parramatta Eels, while the King of Spin told Jesse Hogan he could still rip them in Test cricket.
Rory McIlroy's big finish to the on the USPGA tour has seen him awarded player of the year honours.
"It's just a great way to end what has been a great year, my best season so far," McIlroy said.
Looks like the Sydney Swans will be getting Kirk Tippett after the GWS Giants ruled out any further interest:
Kurt Tippett is set to join AFL premiers Sydney in next week's pre-season draft after Greater Western Sydney officially withdrew their interest.
Former Adelaide forward Tippett, who will miss the first 11 games of the season for his role in salary cap breaches and draft tampering, nominated for Tuesday's pre-season draft and set down the financial terms of his contract.
Shane Warne may have said he 'could', rather than 'would' return to Test cricket. What do you think? Vote in our poll.
Congratulations to Anna Meares who was named the winner of the I Support Women In Sport award. In Sydney last night.

Netball’s Melbourne Vixens won the A-Team of the year award while basketballer Lauren Jackson was acclaimed with the Leadership Legend gong.
‘‘It shows me that I have been able to reach so many people through both my actions and my words and by doing that I know I have done a good job,’’ Meares said.
