As a female MP, I found MP Steve Gibbons’ tweet against Julie Bishop, federal deputy leader of the opposition, offensive, and proof of Labor’s hypocritical attitude towards women.

The sexism and hypocrisy displayed by Labor is breathtaking. It is completely unacceptable for a professional woman of Ms Bishop’s calibre – or any woman for that matter – to be publicly referred to as a “narcissistic bimbo” simply because she has the courage to highlight the questionable behaviour of our prime minister.
As a strong advocate against cyber-bullying, I also find Mr Gibbons’ inappropriate use of social media extremely disappointing.
Mr Gibbons has become offensive, careless and an embarrassment to the people of Bendigo. The community has a choice at the next federal election – Labor’s uncouth, unprofessional, labour-union culture, or the values of decency, family and business-know-how demonstrated by Liberal candidate for Bendigo, Greg Bickley.
