NEWBRIDGE will have to wait until the Queen’s Birthday weekend in June next season before getting a crack at arch-rivals Bridgewater in the rematch of last September’s Loddon Valley Football League grand finalists.
The LVFL has released its fixture for 2013, with the two sides who met in this year’s grand final – the Maroons and Mean Machine – not clashing until round nine on Saturday, June 8.
Bridgewater will be gunning for four-straight flags in the LVFL next season, with this year’s 65-point grand final win over Newbridge following premiership victories over Pyramid Hill and Calivil United the previous two years.

The finals series will begin on August 17 with the qualifying final, with the season to culminate when the grand final is played on September 7.
