Bendigo is set for a temperature of 33 degrees today and 34 degrees tomorrow. Forecaster Peter Blake said the expected hot weather for the weekend and the following week was typical for this time of the year.
However he said temperatures into the high 30’s would mean a lift in the average maximum for the month of November.
Mr Blake said a warm wind coming inland was the reason for the hot weather. “The wind has been coming for a while and there is no weather fronts expected to push away the warm weather over Victoria,” he said.
Mr Blake said a weaker change was expected today but the change was not expected to push any of the hot air away.
He said Monday was expected to be a cooler day, however the hot weather will continue with Thursday expected to be 37 degrees.
Mr Blake said during hotter weather it was important for the community to take care while out in the sun.
