As I was driving down Williamson Street towards the city, almost to McLaren Street, I noticed a council rubbish truck parked in the centre parking area of the road.
As I watched, the driver jumped out and walked to a low-sighted woman standing at the intersection with McLaren Street, waiting to cross Williamson Street. The traffic was heavy and she wasn’t making any progress.
The bloke simply walked up to her, and walked with her across the road – then he went about his job. A simple act of kindness that I really felt should not go unreported.
