The first people to get into the showgrounds were Gary and Ivan Tishler and Kenny and Joanne Ward.
The group arrived from Korumburra at 4am and sat in the car park until 5am, before they secured first place in the line.
Thousands of people from all over Australia and the world have filled the showgrounds in dry and dusty conditions.
Stalls are selling everything from car seats, exit signs and chandeliers, to books, wheels, old doctors’ bags and vintage scooters.
The meet continues tomorrow.
The swap meet is one of the biggest of its kind in Australia.
