It was great that the Bendigo council allowed Bendigo East swimming pool to open over winter. It was used by many people who liked to swim outdoors instead of in a stuffy indoor pool.

The council could help the pool with some improvements, like obtaining new covers to replace the torn ones; fixing up the broken solar heating system so as not to rely on gas heating during summer; and fixing up the drainage in the car park.
There are deep potholes where a drain was put in years ago and whenever it rains, the asphalt gets covered in water as the water can’t drain away. Not only is this inconvenient for the pool users but also the users of the public hall, which uses the same car park.
