OUR family attended the Catholic College Year 9 performance of Grease, performed on Wednesday night at The Capital theatre.
Due to the enormous response to tickets sales for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday night performances, we were very lucky to be able to secure tickets for the extra Wednesday night performance.
We walked away from that performance absolutely amazed at the overwhelming performance these young students achieved, especially on their first night, with nerves being such a huge issue for everyone concerned.
From the emotionally outstanding performances of Marcus (as Danny) and Georgey (as Sandy) and the rest of the cast, through to the set design - it was obvious that all involved put in 100 per cent time, effort and professionalism to reach such a wonderful outcome.
The young students and teachers should be so proud of themselves, each other and their achievements to put on such a fantastic production, with all students playing their roles with heartfelt enthusiasm and enjoyment - it was truly a wonderful sight!
It is fantastic to see students relate to the era of Grease with such enthusiasm, fall into their character roles with such emotion and create a production that does justice to the original cast and crew.
