Farmer’s pipeline stand may prove right

27 Sep, 2008 11:09 AM
WHEN the Murray River is reduced to a sluggish trickle, history will prove arrested Yea farmer Deb McLeish right is resisting the entry of north-south pipeline workers on to her property.

While options for water savings and recycling in the Melbourne catchment have barely been considered, the Brumby Government is hell-bent on pushing through this expensive and unnecessary project, along with the coal-hungry, polluting desalination plant.

And, the Coalition supports it.

It seems that only the Greens have sane, sensible water policies.

MIKE PULESTON,

Brunswick
