Crushing hoons’ cars is Labor copying Libs

31 Aug, 2010 11:02 PM
I READ with interest the front page “Cops crush hoon cars” in the Bendigo Advertiser on July 29, where police are making the most of new powers that enable them to crush cars after the third offence.

This article was written giving all the credit to Labor, whereas in truth this is Labor implementing Liberal policy.

HELEN LEACH,

Bendigo

It doesn't go far enough Helen. We needs the hoons to be placed in the car while it is being crushed. I have no sympathy for people who place others lives at risk in an unnecessary and reckless manner.

How about Labor giving the scrap metal to the Liberals, to sell and the proceeds to go to their election campaign fund. Tom, would you sedate them first? Extract organs? Much more economically viable. Sorry for being morbid, then again it was a morbid suggestion. There are many different ways in which people endanger or kill other people when not in a car.

Thanks David, the scrap metal being sold to the Liberals is a worry... there is a precedent of such metal winding as bulletts being used against Australian soldiers

Tom Stewart, 3/09/2010 8:46:46 AM As I said, I was in a morbid mood reacting to a morbid but non-intentional suggestion. Perhaps the Independents would have a better scrap metal destination.
