Candidate appears unsure of his priorities

Poor Michael Langdon!

If ever there was a man in a desperate search of a mission, he is that.

He thought the Eaglehawk Primary School was a good mission.

He had never shown any interest previously, but presented some questionable research to back up his claims regarding small schools.

The funny thing about this questionable research was that even though it was comprehensively knocked out of the water by the Education Department, Mr Langdon kept presenting it with the same pedantic solemnity over and over again. Now that the issue has been put to bed, Mr Langdon has jumped on to the law and order bandwagon.

Over the next four years the police academy will train the maximum number of new recruits – that is about 3200.

No government, of whatever colour, can do more than that – not unless they clone police or cast spells or something.

KAREN KYLE,
