A drift to the left and country people forgotten

A drift to the left and country people forgotten

05 Sep, 2010 10:41 PM
A LOT is being said about country people being disadvantaged in comparison to city people, but very little is done about it.

In a democratic country one person has one vote. But there are more employees than employers, more people earning wages than private entrepreneurs.

Subsequently, the drift is towards left and socialists are holding more power.

This is discouraging private enterprise and hurting the economy.

We don’t want to go back to feudal rule. But we should give special consideration to sections of people small in numbers, like farmers and other country people.

JIRI KOLENATY,

Rushworth
