MICHAEL CLARKE should hit the nets for two days to work on his game in a bid to lift himself out of his form slump. That's the advice from Victorian teenager Daniel Brew, who became an overnight celebrity after gatecrashing Clarke's pre-game press conference to give the struggling batsman batting tips.

Brew, 17, from Geelong, was at Bellerive Oval yesterday where he witnessed Clarke's lean summer continue when he was dismissed for just 10, caught at point after chasing a wide delivery from Tim Bresnan.
''He didn't roll his wrist enough when he played his shot,'' Brew said of Clarke, who has represented his country 286 times in the three forms of the game. ''[He] probably played the ball too early. He could have left it but didn't.''
Brew, who told Clarke on Thursday he should stop playing away from his body, said the Test vice-captain needed to spend extra time practising if he wanted to run himself back into form. ''I reckon if he knuckled down and went into the nets for a couple of days then he could have it in two days and have it all good,'' Brew said.
Playing in the fourth XI competition of the Geelong Cricket Association, Brew has been struggling himself this season. After making 33 in his first game, the youngster, who has a career-best of 145, has managed scores of five and zero in his past two games either side of Christmas.
''I have been [out of form] and I've just been going to the nets all the time and just practising,'' he said.
Brew spent much of yesterday answering media enquiries after gaining nationwide recognition following a photo shoot in the Herald.
