Match of the round will be the third-placed Epsom Butterflies against fourth-placed Spring Gully Bigpond. The teams will meet again in an elimination final on March 13, so both will be keen to gain an advantage.

The reigning Wimbledon and French Open junior champion, Berta began the day’s play on the Bendigo Bank complex courts in Nolan Street with a 6-2 6-1 win against Japan’s Toma Kozakai.
The Swedish ace then outpointed Australia’s Andrew Whittington, 6-4 6-2.

The 19-year-old West Australian crushed James Lemke 6-1 6-1 to win his third Pro Tour tournament in four weeks.
Ebden was faultless in the final. The sixth-seed hit winner after winner, with his forehand and backhand drives and crisp volleys a feature.
