Bendigo Fighting Miners to tackle Puckapunyal in country division grand final

30 Aug 10 | THE Bendigo Fighting Miners have qualified for the Victorian Rugby Union Country Division grand final after defeating Cobram 27-15 in the preliminary final at Koonoomoo last Saturday. The Fighting Miners did it the hard way after Cobram took the honours in the first half.

Marong celebrates dramatic victory in Youth Girls' Football League grand final against Huntly

17 Aug 10 | Marong marked a one-point victory after the Bendigo Youth Girls’ Football League grand final showdown with Huntly went into double overtime on Sunday at Kangaroo Flat’s Dower Park. The match was the first in AFL Girls Youth Football history to use the ‘golden score rule’, which came into play after scores were tied following a period of extra time.

Cook, Threlfall continue hot form as they triumph in Glen Allan Memorial runs at Emu Creek

17 Aug 10 | REIGNING champions Meredith Cook and Brady Threlfall raced to back-to-back victories in the Athletics Bendigo classic, the RetireInvest Glen Allan Memorial on Saturday at Emu Creek. The race was run over a similar course to last year, but a different distance of 11km.
