THE YCW Football-Netball Club yesterday completed a coup with the recruitment of Australian netball stars Sharelle McMahon, Bianca Chatfield and Natasha Chokljat to run a clinic in March.
The Diamonds stars will be at Flora Hill Stadium on March 14 for a two-session coaching clinic.
Inducted to The Advertiser Sports Star of the Year Hall of Fame last March, McMahon is captain of Australia.
The brilliant goal attack from Lockington is a dual winner of Sports Star of the Year, which is proudly supported by WIN Television and RegionalOne Credit Union.
Young netballers will have a chance to develop their skills at the clinic, and McMahon, Chatfield and Chokljat will be available to sign autographs, and for photos.
The clinic will be for players aged nine and above.
Cost will be $40 per child, with sessions at 9am and 11.30am.
“This is a great opportunity for young netballers from across Bendigo and district to be coached by three of the best, not only in Australia, but the world,’’ said YCW president Dan Murphy.
“This opportunity is an experience that no budding netball star will want to miss.
“We at YCW are so proud to bring this clinic to Bendigo for all players from the football leagues and netball associations, as well as those not yet playing,’’ said Murphy.
Tickets will go on sale in January.
