Calisthenics stars cap great season

14/11/2008 8:19:00 AM
BENDIGO Calisthenics Club’s end of year concert will be held tomorrow at the J.B. Osborne Theatre, Olympic Park, Kangaroo Flat, from 7pm.

An oustanding season for Bendigo’s teams included the sub-juniors winning the Victorian championship for their division, and the Tinies team (girls aged 3-7) being runner-up in their first competition at Echuca.

Children of all ages enjoy the variety and challenges of calisthenics.

The sport is a combination of exercises and gymnastics, marching, singing, simplified ballet, folk and modern dance.

Bendigo Calisthenics train at the Guide Hall in Atkins Street, North Bendigo.

For details about joining, phone Annette Collins on 5448 4090.
