The home of Bendigo cricket and football was snubbed by club’s at last night’s league meeting to decide the semi-final venues.

The top two teams in each of the four senior grades had the opportunity to choose which ground they wanted to play on this weekend.

The QEO, which will stage the under-17 grand final, was not selected, with clubs opting to play on their home grounds.

QEO co-tenants Bendigo and Sandhurst failed to qualify a side in the semi-finals in the four senior grades.

As expected, first XI powers Golden Square and Strathdale selected Atkins Street and Bell Oval respectively for their semi-final matches.

This weekend’s draw for senior and junior semi-finals to be played on Saturday and Sunday:

First XI -Playing times: Noon-5.15pm. Golden Square v Bendigo United at Atkins Street. Strathdale v Eaglehawk at Bell Oval. Grand final at White Hills.

Second XI: Playing times: Noon-5.15pm. Strathdale v Kangaroo Flat at Weeroona Oval. Golden Square v Bendigo United at Strauch Reserve. Grand final at Eaglehawk.

Third XI: Playing times: 10am-1pm. Eaglehawk v Bendigo United at Eaglehawk. Golden Square v Strathfieldsaye at Harry Trott Oval. Grand final at Weeroona Oval.

Under-17: Playing times: 8.45am-11.45am. Kangaroo Flat v Strathfieldsaye at Dower Park. White Hills v Golden Square at White Hills. Grand final at QEO.

Under-15A: Playing times: 8.45am-11.45am. Strathfieldsaye v White Hills at Tannery Lane. Golden Square v Kangaroo Flat at Ewing Park. Grand final at Ewing Park.

Under-13A: Playing times: 8.45am-11.45am. Strathfieldsaye v Kangaroo Flat at Club Court bottom oval. Bendigo v Huntly-Nth Bendigo at Ken Wust Oval. Grand final at Spring Gully.
