Last weekend’s torrential downpour and forecast thunderstorm for Saturday night meant the BFNL board decided to postpone all games in week two of the finals series.

The matches previously listed for last Saturday night at the QEO will be at the same venue this Saturday night.

Games originally set down for last Sunday at the QEO have now been moved to this Saturday afternoon at Golden Square’s Country Vet Oval.

In the seniors, South Bendigo tackles Maryborough in the first semi-final at Golden Square.

A grand final berth is at stake when Golden Square and Eaglehawk clash in Saturday night’s seniors match on the QEO.

Saturday’s football at Golden Square:

Under-18, first semi at 9.45am: Castlemaine v Strathfieldsaye.

Reserves, second semi at noon: Sandhurst v Maryborough.

Seniors, first semi at 2.20pm: South Bendigo v Maryborough.

Saturday’s netball first semi-finals at Golden Square:

17-under at 10.30: Golden Square v Kangaroo Flat.

B grade at noon: Golden Square v Strathfieldsaye.

A reserve at 1.30: Golden Square v Strathfieldsaye.

A grade at 3pm: Gisborne v Eaglehawk.
