12 Mar 10 | EAGLEHAWK junior cricketer Jordan Ilsley was in sparkling form on the weekend, scoring a century for his under-15 team.
In the match between Eaglehawk and Bendigo United, Ilsley notched up an unbeaten 104 to help Eaglehawk win the match by 67 runs.
It was the first time Ilsley has made a century.

The BDCA board decided earlier this week that White Hills would take over from Eaglehawk as the grand final host.
“It was a line-ball decision,” BDCA president Wayne Walsh said yesterday.

Dom scored 30 runs and took 2-17, and Cameron hit the Suns’ top score of 54 on home turf at Bell Oval.

20 Feb 10 | BENDIGO won its second Melbourne Country Cricket Week provincial premiership in four years yesterday, with a hard-fought 47-run win over Kyabram at the Albert Ground.
A brilliant batting display set up the win, with Ben Gunn (83 off 88 balls), man-of-the-match Darren Petersen (77 off 49), and Matt Kile (66 off 65) posting half-centuries in Bendigo’s imposing total of 7-295.
The target proved too much for a gallant Kyabram, who gave Bendigo plenty of headaches in its run chase.
19 Feb 10 | SOME bowlers only dream of taking a hat-trick, but for 11-year-old Riley Saunders, it was only a matter of time.
Saunders claimed a hat-trick for Bendigo Cricket Club on the first day of the under-13A clash with White Hills.
He said he had gone close to hat-tricks in the previous two weekends, but finally broke through to achieve the feat.

After being sent in on Altona’s turf, the Bendigo line-up passed the 200-mark in an innings where key batsmen Ben Gunn, Darren Peterson and Tim Wood took control.
Gunn played a key role in a 31-run stand with Matt Kile and then a 33-run partnership with Peterson.
