The Spirit had a disjointed start to its second season in the Women’s National Basketball League.
The lack of a pre-season didn’t help, but Harrower said extra fitness work in the past three weeks had the Spirit ready to prove they were a genuine play-off threat.

Harrower led the Bendigo Bank Spirit to its third victory of the 2008-09 season with a triple-double against the Perth Lynx on the Shepparton court.

Smith, a former Bendigo Lady Braves star, is the leading scorer in the Women’s National Basketball League, averaging 25 points per game.
