ORGANISERS are thrilled with the success of the Bendigo Blue Ribbon Foundation’s 20th anniversary dinner.
The dinner was held on Saturday evening at the All Seasons Quality Resort.
Leading Senior Constable Rod Brown, who is the president of the Bendigo branch of the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation, said the community support was overwhelming.
‘‘The committee was delighted with the response,’’ he said.
The Blue Ribbon Foundation was founded 20 years ago following the murders of Constables Steven Tynan and Damien Eyre in Walsh Street.
It is now a cornerstone of local communities throughout the state - the Bendigo branch is a generous supporter of Bendigo Health.
Leading Senior Constable Brown said highlights of the evening included the performance of the Victoria Police Show Band and the address by Chief Commissioner Christine Nixon.
