Bendigo Swap Meet goes high tech

7/11/2008 8:32:00 AM
IF you plan on heading to the Bendigo Swap Meet on Saturday, November 15, or Sunday, November 16, time can be saved by logging onto the event’s website listings.

Also there is the option, in the wanted to buy section, of listing items you want and you will be able to see where they will be located at the Swap Meet.

The event is run by The Veteran, Vintage and Classic Club of Bendigo, in association with the federal body.

It has grown to be the largest crowd puller to Bendigo, so committee member Alan Stevens said it was a natural progression to support the event with an interactive website. Go to www.bendigoswap.com.au

“We aim to link buyers and sellers as easily as possible - a website is a wonderful tool for this.

“In some cases visitors’ time at the event is limited, so assisting them to find what they require brings about far better outcomes.’’

Mr Stevens said the success of the event brought thousands of people to Bendigo.

“Don’t forget the gates open on Saturday at 6am.’’
