Entry to the pool party will be free and games will run throughout the day.

Bendigo Youth Development Team member Sarah Lawrence urges everyone to come along on the day. “Why would you want to sit at home and listen to music, when you could be at the pool?” she said.

The pool party will be fully supervised and is drug, alcohol and smoke free.

Additional Australia day celebrations will be held in Castlemaine Botanical Gardens from 11am to 1.30pm.

The action-packed day will include a free lunchtime barbecue, entertainment from MZhiphop crew and vocalist Tara Flinn, and children’s activities with plenty of prizes to be won.
