Otis reaches hearts and minds

6/10/2008 9:56:00 AM
THE Otis Foundation hosted an open day at its Bendigo retreat properties yesterday as part of the organisation's fifth birthday celebrations.

Commemorations included a speech from founder Andrew Barling and a performance by the Women of Note choir, while the Strathfieldsaye Lions Club provided a sausage sizzle and other groups with a close relationship to the Otis Foundation - including Dragons Abreast, the Valkyrie Group and Landcare - hosted displays.

The spectacular Tannery Lane accommodation is made available at no charge to those challenged by breast cancer, and Otis Foundation general manager Jane Anderson said the open day was also a great opportunity to thank to the many generous Bendigo businesses that have supported the foundation over the past five years.
