Opportunities abound for Bendigo businesses with Grace Kelly exhibition

09 Feb, 2012 09:14 AM
WITH thousands of visitors expected to descend on Bendigo for the Grace Kelly Style Icon exhibition in March Bendigo businesses are being urged to make the most of it.

The City of Greater Bendigo will host a free information session on Thursday, February 16, for local businesses to find out how they can benefit from the exhibition.

City of Greater Bendigo’s Director of City Futures Stan Liacos said the amount of attention the exhibition was attracting was the perfect opportunity to showcase Bendigo.

“All local businesses who are interested in learning how they can strengthen their business benefits from this influx of visitors are not only encouraged but very welcome to attend the information session,” he said.

“Bendigo has a growing reputation as a destination for major events and we want local residents and local businesses to put their best foot forward during the exhibition and show their pride in Bendigo.

“The aim of the briefing session is to open local business and anyone else that is interested up to the many possibilities that exist.

“Those who attend the session will be fully briefed about the exhibition so they are prepared for the thousands of people who will come to Bendigo during this time.”

Bendigo Art Gallery director Karen Quinlan and City of Greater Bendigo tourism manager Kathryn Mackenzie will share behind the scene details about the Grace Kelly exhibition at the information session which will take place from 6-7pm at the Capital.

For more information about the session contact Jenny Redwood at the City of Greater Bendigo Economic Development Unit on 5434 6137.
