TWO men have been airlifted to Melbourne hospitals after a single car rollover on the Calder Alternate Highway at Lockwood.
Emergency services were called to the accident just after noon.
The two men, believed to be in their 20s, were heading towards Bendigo when the accident occurred.
Emergency services worked for about an hour to free the men, eventually rescuing one through the rear hatch of the car and the other through the front door.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said the pair suffered serious leg, arm and head injuries.
A 26-year-old was transferred to the Royal Melbourne Hospital while a 24-year-old was taken to the Alfred.
Police had blocked the Calder Alternate in both directions, but it's believed the road is now open.
