Kate to sing at carols

Kate DeAraugo will be the special guest performer at Sunday’s Community Carols in Rosalind Park, it was announced this morning.

The Australian Idol winner will perform Jingle Bell Rock and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas for the expected crowd of more than 7000.

Kate will be accompanied on stage by her uncle, Chris DeAraugo.

This year’s event returns to Rosalind Park on Sunday, December 21 from 6pm and is supported by Bendigo Community Telco.

Entry is by gold coin donation and there will be a barbecue and free candles.

Parking will be available at the Hargreaves Street multi-storey car park, Tom Flood sports centre, and the Central Deborah Gold Mine.

Tram rides for $2 will be operate from the Central Deborah Gold Mine and Joss House from 5pm.
