MORE than 3000 Jehovah’s Witnesses will converge on Bendigo today. The district convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses will include people from Albury Wodonga, Portland, Echuca, Deniliquin, Swan Hill, Ballarat and Renmark in South Australia.Convention spokesman David Ray said work began at the Bendigo Stadium at 7am yesterday and they were catering for about 3500 people.“We’ve been coming to Bendigo for about 10 years,” he said.“The reason we come together is because of the common belief and common love in servicing God.“We will have 47 different speakers over the three days, plus dramas.“On Sunday we will have a full costume Bible drama. It will feel like biblical times.”Tomorrow there will be the ordination of new members including the Christian Baptism.“To see a baptism is really powerful,” Mr Ray said.“It’s very beautiful.”All convention sessions are open to the public and free.
